As the 2025–26 academic year is well underway, we take a closer look at Polish language enrollments across North American institutions. Following the 2025 NAATPl Polish Language Enrollment Survey (due December 1, 2025), we invite all Polish-teaching faculty and anyone interested to join us for a discussion summarizing this year’s survey results.
The NAATPl 2025 Polish Language Enrollment Survey includes four sections:
- General courses information – Whether Polish language courses were offered at your institution and, if so, in what modality (in-person, online, hybrid).
- Enrollment data – Student numbers across three proficiency levels (elementary, intermediate, advanced), as well as heritage Polish classes, if applicable.
- Teaching materials – Information on textbooks, grammar books, authentic materials, and digital resources used in your courses.
- Additional context – Space to share insights on funding, scholarships, and suggestions for future surveys.
The event will begin with an official presentation of the results, followed by an open discussion. The meeting is open to all Polish language professionals, regardless of membership status, type of appointment, or institution, as well as anyone interested in the state of Polish language teaching in North America. Traditionally, the working languages of the event will be Polish and English.
In addition to the meeting, we will publish survey results on our website. We hope these findings provide Polish language professionals, students, faculty members, government officials, and other stakeholders with valuable insights.
