Marcin Dadan is a Teaching Assistant Professor and Director of the Polish Studies Program at the University of Pittsburgh. He specializes in comparative and historical morphosyntax, fieldwork (Indic, Slavic, and Algonquian), comparative literature, and language construction (conlanging). He received his PhD in linguistics from the University of Connecticut, with a dissertation on the cross-linguistic trend of diachronic loss of obligatory syntactic fronting, such as in wh-questions. At the University of Pittsburgh, he teaches courses on Polish language, literature, and cinema.
