Katarzyna Majchrowicz-Wolny is a Ph.D. student and Polish language instructor at the UIC Polish, Russian, and Lithuanian Studies Department. Her literary research interests include environmental humanities, energy humanities, posthumanism, and climate change. She is particularly interested in the unfolding redefinition of humanity in 20th and 21st-century science fiction. In her teaching, she incorporates kinetic and sensory experiences into language learning activities, encouraging the students to explore the connection between language, body, and the environment. She is also interested in developing project-based language teaching methods. She holds a BA and MA in English Studies.
